23rd Annual TaylorMade Golf 'Fore' Your Heart Pro-Am Invitational for Tri-City Hospital Foundation
The Citrus team supported the success of the 23rd Annual TaylorMade Golf 'Fore' Your Heart Pro-Am Invitational benefiting cardiovascular services at Tri-City Medical Center. In the 23 years since its inception, the Golf 'Fore' Your Heart charity tournament has generated upwards of $1,600,000, with all of those funds directly serving cardiac patients at Tri-City Medical Center – and 2008 served as yet another benchmark year as a full field of golfers representing 25 local and national companies participated. Citrus Special Events planned a fun-filled day for golfers to enjoy on-course games, previews of the latest TaylorMade golf equipment, golf instruction from professional golf instructor, Jim Flick, and friendly competition over 18 holes at Shadowridge Country Club. A post-tournament dinner included awards and prizes for the winners and a chance to bid on the highly coveted Masters Dream Package, a week-long VIP experience for two at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA next April, courtesy of TaylorMade Golf. As part of the project, public relations support garnered on-site media coverage by local news station KUSI and numerous local news pieces to promote the event.
